Plumber

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various settings, including residential, commercial, and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing principles, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate a range of hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Use hand tools such as wrenches, pipe cutters, and pliers effectively.
• Operate power tools safely to carry out installation and repair tasks.
• Weld pipes and fittings as required to ensure secure connections.
• Perform basic carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations.
• Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify faults or potential issues.
• Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex plumbing problems efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards during work operations.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a plumber in residential, commercial or industrial environments.
• Demonstrable skills in welding, use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems related to plumbing installations and repairs.
• Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements and material estimations.
• Experience with carpentry tasks related to plumbing projects is advantageous.
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting tasks and working in confined or elevated spaces.
• Valid driver’s licence for commercial driving is preferred but not essential depending on the role requirements.
